Many were required to evacuate due to Irma but there was no preparation that insured evacuees had sufficient gas to reach their destination. I am not the only evacuee who recalls our Governor refused federal help/our tax dollars for high speed rail. For those that required shelter there was insufficiency – 5 hours in line was common.
At special needs shelters, clients were dropped off without their caregivers. Our county managed well under the strained circumstances, but these are State responsibilities. How long were you without power? And why are our utility lines still not buried?
